Halloween and Fall finally uploaded

Piper Vida is such an original piece of work!  I love her ideas and the way she thinks.  Piper decided that for Halloween she was going to be a necklace stealer.  I think she based her whole idea around wanting to wear a certain necklace that she got this summer when she went to the circus with my parents in Seattle.  This special necklace looks really cool in the dark because it flashes all sorts of colors, so there for would be perfect for trick-or-treating at night.  She decided on cozy footy PJ's, rain boots and a small mask that went over her eyes.

Piper was so proud of her costume idea and loved telling people what she was.  She said "Necklace Stealer" so matter-of-factually and confidently that no one questioned her on what exactly that meant.

The boys owned theirs costumes too.  Jett loved his giraffe costume so much that even after Halloween he continued to sport his costume.  Calvin was excited about being a wizard  though in the heat of trick or treating at the Old Mill he couldn't find one of the suckers he was sure he got from one of the stores and obsessed over it not being in his bag.  He couldn't let it go, so this was the pouty face he wore for that outing.

The tradition of playing in the leaves at Drake Park is one of my favorite Fall activities.  We did it several times, but only brought the camera along once.  I feel like I have been leaving the camera home more often lately which has been nice to just be in the moments of life without worrying about documenting those moments.  I guess just finding a balance is best because it is fun to see these captured images that my brain will so quickly forget without these physical reminders.
