Team Staley: August 2010

August has been full of fun for Team Staley. Full of hikes, paddle boarding, pool days, summer festivals, concerts, bike rides and walks to town. Unfortunately most of it not digitally recorded as our camera was swiped at the beginning of the month while we were enjoying a great lake day. Bummer, but we are back in action with a new camera just in time for our big trip to Hawaii. We leave Monday for 3 weeks to the island of Kauai in a one bedroom condo on the beach, with a pool. We are trying to pack light, but doesn't seem possible when we have 3 kids needing car seats, 2 pack and plays, our stroller, 2 floaty rings, breast pump, laptop...yadda yadda. We are anticipating the travel days to be hectic and crazy, especially with our little wiggle worm Calvin who doesn't sit still these days. He is all about bouncing if we are holding him, or if he is on the ground he is scooting across the room to what ever looks most interesting. Jett is still just sitting and really a content little boy. I flew with him last week to Seattle for a short visit to my grandpa Poletti's funeral. =-( But Jett did great, it felt so easy to just have one baby! Hopefully that was a preview to him being a good traveler. Piper is SUPER excited for our trip, and especially for going to the airport! As I have mentioned before, Piper loves to swim, so she is going to be in heaven with all the pool time we have in store. I hope to update the blog while we are in Hawaii, but until then here are some fun pictures we have taken in the last week trying to get used to our new camera... This was a fun family hike around Todd Lake. It was around 2 miles or so and I am proud to say that Piper hiked the whole way!
